Normally, it takes a lot of time just shutting down Windows, you have to move your mouse to START button, click on it, move it again over ‘Turn Off Computer’, click, then move it over the ‘Turn Off’ and (you guessed it) click.
This whole process can be shortened by creating shortcut on the Desktop which will shut down Windows at the click of button.
To create shortcut follow the steps below….
>> Select ‘New’ and then ‘Shortcut’
>> In field type…For Windows XP
For Vista Users
C:\WINDOWS\system32\Shutdown.exe -s -t 00
Restart Computer
C:\WINDOWS\system32\Shutdown.exe -r -t 00
Lock Workstation
C:\WINDOWS\system32\Rundll32.exe User32.dll,LockWorkStation
Hibernate Computer
C:\WINDOWS\system32\rundll32.exe PowrProf.dll,SetSuspendState
